Reference management programs

There are several programs available to help you manage your references more efficiently. At Lund University, most libraries offer support for EndNote and Zotero.

Using a reference management tool makes it easier to:

  • Organise and save your references
  • Insert citations into your text
  • Create reference lists in the correct format
  • Import and store full-text documents

EndNote

EndNote is a reference management program that you install on your PC or Mac. As a student or employee at Lund University, you can download EndNote for free.

Zotero

Zotero is a free reference management tool that you can install on your PC or Mac. You do not need a Student ID or LUCAT login to use Zotero.
